Meet our Team

Brian brings 30 years of industry experience to the team. Having worked in many fast paced markets, he understands the value of clear communication and direction, as well as the urgency of making decisions to ensure projects are delivered as quickly as possible. He excels at seeing the big picture while adhering to the schedule as the path to success, and he works with the CM’s to ensure each project has what and who it needs to turn concepts into bricks and mortar.

Roger brings 25 years of industry experience to his oversight of Oppidan’s construction activities in the western US. Prior to joining Oppidan, Roger was a principal architect at MulvannyG2 Architecture where he supervised the design and development for nationally recognized retailers such as Buffalo Wild Wings, H&M, FedEx and Petco.

Building relationships with mission critical equipment suppliers and General Contractors across the country is a key piece to the success of our data center team. Matt does this with 15 years of nationwide experience as an Owner, Property Developer, and General Contractor in a variety of industries such as senior & multi-family housing, retail, mission critical, industrial, and health/hospitality. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Business from the University of Minnesota.

Greg manages all aspects of the construction process and assists the Construction Head, ensuring quality throughout the construction schedule. Prior to joining Oppidan, Greg was Sr. Construction Manager for Buffalo Wild Wings, Construction Manager for Hammes Co. Sports Development during the construction of US Bank Stadium, and led cross-functional teams as a Construction Project Manager for Target.

As a Certified Data Center Professional and a Certified Data Center Design Professional with over 10 years in the data center industry, James is the Subject Matter Expert for data centers. He manages the construction process, and the operations once handed off to the client. Prior to joining Oppidan, James spent 5 years with one of the top data center owners/operators.

Adam brings a diverse project and professional experience base to the team. During his time with Oppidan, he has been involved in a variety of industrial and mission critical development projects, but throughout his career, he has been a part of teams both large and small in a wide array of projects: from medical research, and higher-ed, to industrial and mission critical, Adam is a knowledgeable and adaptable expert.

As part of the construction team, with a decade of varied experience working for developer builders in the Midwest market, Kevin ensures that our buildings are on budget, adhere to the strict mission critical QA and QC parameters, and are delivered on time. For select client programs, he also manages the procurement of long lead equipment. Kevin serves as a member of the Bloomington MN Planning commission.

As a Certified Data Center Professional and a Certified Data Center Design Professional with over 10 years in the data center industry, James is the Subject Matter Expert for data centers. Jason has worked with the Development Team and Managed Data Center assets since 2018, and third party management of Data Centers since 2021. He has over 22 years of experience in the industry, and has been with Oppidan since 2013.

Heather facilitates and manages all data center financials. With over 20 years of experience in the property management industry, she is an asset to our team. Heather attended Harper College in Palatine, IL for Business Management from 2005-2007.

Jim’s role is to capitalize all data center development projects with debt and equity, negotiate terms, and execute capital strategy to ensure delivery for our clients and partners. Jim has an established track record across acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management and fundraising: In over 15 years of real estate experience, he has closed more than $3 billion of projects.

Water Street Partners, which Joe co-founded in 2017, structures the capital stack for data center developments which includes identifying both equity and debt sources for each project. They work with various institutional partners and lenders to secure equity and debt which allows us to deliver for the tenant on time and on budget. Joe is a member of NAIOP and MNCAR.

Shane helps manage costs and provide financial statements and support for the entities that own the data centers. He has seven years of real estate accounting experience and has been in the accounting and finance industry for 20 years. Shane holds a Masters in Accounting and a BS in Finance.

Matt is the Chief Financial Officer at Oppidan, where he oversees the internal finances, budgeting, and forecasting. Prior to joining Oppidan in 2011, Matt worked as a financial analyst for Best Buy and HEI, Inc. Matt serves on the Community for the Commons Board and is a member of the Deloitte CFO Forum. He’s also a past board member of Relate Counseling Center.

Dave guides Oppidan and its clients through the entire legal process with expertise garnered from his 26 years of experience on the legal side of the real estate development business, and 8+ years of experience in data center development (as well as his self-proclaimed experience from the School of Hard Knocks). He holds a JD from Wake Forest University.
